While none of the courtroom scenes were filmed inside the Jasper County Courthouse, several other scenes were filmed. For example, the scenes that took place inside Judge Chamberlain Haller’s chambers were filmed on the top floor of the courthouse. The office occupies the space with the two windows on the far right corner of the building. Scenes for D.A. Jim Trotter’s office were filmed directly underneath the aforementioned space. Judge Chamberlain Haller
Notice the building through the window behind Judge Chamberlain. This building sits across from the Jasper County Courthouse in the Monticello Town Square. As you can see in the second photo, it hasn’t change a bit in 20 years. It looks “IIIIdentical!”
